The Propel Center is a unique initiative that fosters innovation and sustainability, driven by its founding partners, Apple and Southern Company, to connect different stakeholders and inspire future advancements. Designed to be a hub for the entire Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) community, the Propel Center provides students with access to cutting-edge learning resources, tools, and skills that will help them shape the future of the nation’s talent pipeline and workforce.
Partnership with Ponix
The Propel Center’s four innovation pillars, namely, Propel Startup, Propel Arts & Entertainment, Propel Justice, and Propel, offer a comprehensive approach to innovation that aims to engage youth around the world. In April 2021, the center partnered with Ponix to support their AgTech Pillar, which not only provides education and exposure to the future of farming but also addresses critical issues such as food insecurity in underserved communities, climate change, and economic opportunities.
