Location: Atlanta, GA
Part Time: 10-20 hours/month

Job Summary:
The Research & Program Associate will support various Ponix initiatives, with a focus on both research and program implementation. On the research side, the associate will be responsible for sourcing, reviewing, and summarizing white papers and organizational case studies, reporting key insights relevant to Ponix projects. In programming, the associate will apply research findings to support the Director of Programs in sourcing, planning, and organizing implementation strategies. This may include coordinating and facilitating demonstrations, stakeholder meetings, and virtual events.
The primary responsibility of the Research & Program Associate is to work closely with the Director of Programs, and the ideal candidate will possess strong research and analytical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Identify case studies, white papers, and reports done on various topics as it pertains to Ponix programs
Research and analyze various topics as it pertains to Ponix programs
Schedule meetings with various organizations as it pertains to Ponix programs
Check in weekly with Program Director for cadence calls, updates, and reporting
Internship Project:
In the Research & Program Apprenticeship, you’ll delve into the world of botanical science and plant chemistry with a focus on flavor, medicinal properties, and oil extraction of plants for profitability. Your project will explore how food can be used as medicine, evaluating various plants for their health benefits. Additionally, you will conduct research on hemp, examining its potential uses and applications.
This apprenticeship will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how plant science can contribute to innovative farming practices and profitable outcomes. You’ll work closely with our team to apply your findings to enhance our programs and contribute to sustainable farming solutions.
Qualifications:
Those pursuing a degree in Ecology, Urban Planning, Architecture, Agriculture or those with a passion for food, community, and sustainability are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:
